Childhood Melodies

My love affair with music began in the vibrant suburbs near Flint, Michigan. While other kids played tag, I was drawn to the melodies on the radio. Music wasn’t just a pastime; it became part of my essence. I cradled a guitar, dreaming of standing on stage, harmonizing chords with my musical idols. Those guitar strings? They were my secret language beyond words.

Electronic Awakening

In 2000, I stepped into the legendary Leland City Club in Detroit—an underground industrial nightclub. The Leland City Club became my sanctuary, where my love for electronic music flourished over four transformative years.

Licensed Cosmetologist

But my journey wasn’t limited to music. From 2001 until 2021, I wore another hat—I was a licensed cosmetologist. My salon was my canvas, where I blended colors and shapes, much like the music I create. 

However, in 2021, I retired from the salon world. I sold my beloved salon and redirected my passion toward opening VOD Productions—a place where music and creativity collide.

The Machine Shop Connection

In 2003, I stepped into The Machine Shop Concert Lounge in Flint, MI. There, amidst the electric energy of live performances, my love for music deepened. The pounding bass, the sweat-soaked crowd, and the raw emotion—it all fueled my creative fire.

Professional and Creative Growth

My journey took specialized turns. I excelled in vivid hair coloring, witnessing my skills flourish. Simultaneously, I explored event coordination, fostering vibrant communities. 

FUSERgame (Delisted)

But it was in November 2019 that everything changed. While in recovery from surgery I acquired a new rhythm game called Fuser, and suddenly, music composition ignited within me. Fuser wasn’t just a DJ video game; it was a catalyst—a resurgence of my dormant passion.

Vivid Drkness Emerges

In 2021, I embraced the moniker 

Vivid Drkness. With unmatched fervor, I ventured into music composition, production, recording, and publication. 

My sonic playground expanded, and I invite you to explore it alongside me.
